Dr. Bruce Kristal's research at Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH) focuses on predicting healthy aging and cognitive health. His laboratory at BWH has active projects in: drug development aimed at reducing damage from strokes and head injury, developing blood tests that predict future disease risk for preventable disorders (e.g., diabetes, breast cancer), and the development of computer-based approaches for personalized medicine. Dr. Kristal received his BS in Life Sciences from MIT and his PhD from Harvard University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. He is in the Department of Neurosurgery at BWH and Department of Surgery at Harvard Medical School.
